QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Four-year university degree in the field on Communications/ Electronics/Computer repair. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification required. A+ and “MCTS, Windows 7, Configuration” certifications highly desirable. Experience in one or more of the following fields: Computer systems support and repair; detailed knowledge of network operating systems; LAN and WAN technologies and equipment.
SKILLS: Be familiar with good workshop practice and of power tools. Aware of Work Place Safety procedures

Job Description
1. Configuration of PCs to a standard build for network and
Internet access using approved software builds.
2. Provides 2nd line support for troubleshooting of MFO PC Faults, and escalates in accordance with ICT Service Desk Procedures.
3. Preventative and corrective maintenance on all types of computer equipment, both standalone and connected to Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks as directed by the MICT and Service Desk Manager.
4. Provides 2nd line support for MFO switches, routers, and firewalls associated with the North Camp MFO network.5. Provides 2nd line support for MFO wireless access points (D-Link) and Motorola Point-to-Multipoint and Point-to-Point wireless systems.
6. Interfaces with network control and management tools as necessary in support of network maintenance and monitoring.
7. Installation, removal, and repair of peripheral equipment
as required.
8. Bench checking, fault finding and repair of all types of bench systems to BIOS level.
9. Removal of PCs and peripherals in accordance with Off Base
Repair (OBR) warranty policies.
10. End user support of PC and communications equipment to include communications with users on nature of problems and fix actions.
11. Maintenance of Fiber Optic and CAT6/5e/5 backbone cabling systems.
12. Maintains record of all maintenance services, effectively
and efficiently, as outlined by ICT Service Desk procedures.
13. Performs corrective and preventative maintenance at Northern remote sites as required.
14. Performs emergency and out of hours duties as required based on a rotating on-call shift schedule maintained in the section.
15. Any other duties as required
