Job Description
1. Configuration of PCs to a standard build for network and Internet access using approved software builds.
2. Provide 2nd line support for troubleshooting of PC, Printers, Scanners and all network devices Faults, and escalate in accordance with ICT Helpdesk Procedures.
3. Preventative and corrective maintenance on all types of computer equipment, both standalone and connected to Local Area Networks as directed by the MIT.
4. Bench checking, fault finding and repair of all types of PC systems to BIOS level.
5. Removal of PC's and Peripherals in accordance Off Base Repair Warranty policy.
6. Installation, configuration and Maintenance of Fiber Optic/ CAT5 backbone cabling systems plus all network devices i.e. Switches, transceivers.
7. Maintain records of all maintenance services, effectively and efficiently, as outlined by ICT Service Desk procedures.
8. Work on the ICT Helpdesk in case of emergencies.
9. Travel to remote sites to repair and conduct preventative maintenance as required.
10. Carry out IS related office moves.
11. Performs emergency and out of hours duties as required.
12. Any other duties as required.
